Emergence

JayJayWolfTrix

I remember a day,

A day of distant memories

Where the warmth around my heart

Kept the darkness away

That day was one of a multitude

One more that built on all those that came before

Brightening the light emitting from my soul

Keeping the coldness at bay

One day..., I know, it shall return

What was lost shall show signs of life

What is locked away shall be revealed

How it will find me, I know not

For on that day, I wonder

Whether it will ever be known

How much was truly lost,

and whether any of it was ever truly valued

With that I let go, I release it all

I will no longer anticipate,

I will no longer provide the fuel,

I will no longer dream the same dreams

I Will Be Me, a new me for sure, but me none the less, and me forever more.
