Love

Trishanie

You're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't

A perfect example of what can break you or make you

So I distanced myself from it.

It didn't work, it caught me

I didn't expect it, and I sure wasn't looking for it.

It was a female, a beautiful deceiver.

This succubus took my heart, I allowed it.

At first, it was the little changes

She sucked me in like a vacuum.

She held onto me, took my independence

I let her in, not completely but enough

She had me cuffed

It became tough.

I loved...it's a weakness

I don't like feeling weak

I think love means different things to different people

I made sacrifices for her...stood up for her

I was strong...for her.

We all have our problems

but hers were always more important

It's not a crime to be selfish

But it has to be me before you

Your anger was most unattractive

It was like someone else took over

I never liked it

I wished we had healthy disagreements

You're messy, I'm not

You're loud, I'm not

I wouldn't want you any other way

I just wish you didn't confide in everyone

You complain about being alone

So you fill your life with anyone

worthy or not.

I won't sit here and say I'm worthy

because I may not be but I always try.

Your eyes were beautiful, correction they are

They are the best feature of you

You carried yourself like you don't care

I know you have no fear

But I was aware, that was your fear.

You were mine too

It happened too soon

I might have been a fool

Because I fell for a tool.

In the end, I could have saved us

Honestly, it didn't try, I stopped trying

I wanted to let it go

It became too much

Are you the only one hurt?

No! I feel it too, I don't talk about it

We deal with hurt differently.

I did love you but we are not good together

We are better apart, we didn't have a good start

It hurts, I'll be fine.

I rather you be happy without me

Here's your chance to be free
