Healing Hope

orchidee

Tune: St Clement

('The day thou gavest, Lord, is ended')

Mark 1 v.32-35

*******

In peace and quietude of evening

People gathered round you did bring

Those afflicted, Galilee's region

Seeking healing for every one

In calm of evening, or whate'er time

Of day or night throughout life's rhyme

Help us bring our needs to you, solace

To find, each need before you place

Doing what we can, prayer and action

Sometimes wait, or meditation

Taking our part, and where we can do

No more, leave outcomes up to you

Where many things may take natural course

Yet still we pray, but cannot force

Your hand, whether some pain, grief follow

Or comfort, in all your peace know

It it draw us nearer to you, may

We be strengthened, our trust firm stay

In you, each human situation

You know, Lord of every nation

Thanks E. Of course it's hopes of healing, not that 'hope' in itself needs healing! If I'm not talking rubbish there. lol.

Hope is what keeps us going. Without it we would be lost. A fine poem Orch. - Phil A.
