My eyes are not there, to look at yours
To have a conversation and make your orbs smile
But the distance that you see
Is how far my heart goes fonder... For miles
My lips are not there, to share a dance with yours
To waltz to the music of how we feel
But as long as our music still plays
My heart will always two-step to your heart beat
My hands are not there, to elevate the hairs on your skin
To swell those goosebumps
But as long as I'm still here
My presence remains through my absence, from our fire within
I am not there, but I'm here within the chambers of your soul
Safely tucked in your linen of romance
Always

Makes me think of soulmates or twin flames . Thankyou for sharing this .. it was so nice to read . A very beautiful poem ))
Thank you so much for reading 😊🤗. This piece reminds me of the times where you're so far from your partner and words of affirmation being so comforting.
simply beautiful! dear Poet
(there is a love, with connectivity
so intertwined
and magnetic chemistry
so innately, transparent
that, be it side-by-side
or miles - apart
each partner, need only
reach for that thread
in their heart
to pull on that pool of unwavering
affection, loyalty and passion
and let the other partner, feel
their yearning..
I know these words to be true
for I've been blessed to experience
such a love, myself
and even now, years - apart
wherever she may be, I know
on certain nights
she thinks of me, as I feel her
pull, at that thread neither of us
dare, cut
and so I willingly, give-in to reverie's
breeze, smiling
when recalling
knowing, she's wishing me well
and I, in turn
still, wish her all the best in life..)
'My lips are not there, to share a dance with yours
To waltz to the music of how we feel
But as long as our music still plays
My heart will always two-step to your heart beat'
Amen!
