Admitted but not Forsaken

Poetic Dan

Why have you forsaken me when I kept your name oh lord....

This was some of the callings from a soul suffering opposite to me

I've finally been admitted to hospital, I'm writing this on the 3rd day and looking at a good 4 or 5 days more

The saddest part of being here is seeing, hearing and feeling the unmistakable part of bring human

Did we all put ourselves in these positions or did we not get a choice, from passed on ignorance or a closed minded voice

Incompetence of communication within the body and mind, let's the soul drift and never ground it self over time

Ending with little empathy or conviction to be true, following only money or the dogmas left in a stew

With food for thoughts and thoughts for food, going nil by mouth all manner of neurons help you get through

(humility, is a virtue of the suffering
    inequality, the moral compass
    of those experiencing debilitating
    pain
    yet, that generosity of imagination's
    empathy
is only apparent, in amongst the true
    humanist's, since
their selflessness, must be so entrenched
in 'the who' of their curated identity
for them, to find the strength within
    to surpass their strife
and ink words of poetic lament
and a questing prayer of hope
    that goodness, despite everything
    may yet prevail...)
I'm sorry if you're still in hospital, my friend
I champion the brave positivity in these words
    you shared, dear Poet..
'and yes, we are each imbued
with potential for levels of deity
    in our instinctive, capacity
    to impact and nurture, those
we come across, in our lives..!'

For me you pose the question of how do we become compassionate human beings? And the difficult choice, at times of putting someone else's well being before our own. A wonderful, soul searching poem dear poet!

Bless that is it really as the man I felt sorry for, actually grabbed a nurses had and as I heard her say please let go, he ask why, she replied your hurting me and he just emotionless said good!
It is a juggling act to keep compassion in the heart and mind...

Thank you so much for your time
