I Dreamt

Bella Shepard

I dreamt I was lost

And when I woke I was found

But where had I been?

Thank you my friend, I'm still looking, haven't checked every nook and cranny yet.

now there's a conundrum and a predicament for ya ..
and it all becomes perfectly clear, size aint everything, is it 🙂

Something to deeper ponder in those final words - -- short but telling that million-dollar question dear Bella. A brilliant three liner.

    • Bella Shepard

Thank you dear Fay for those kind words. I sometimes wonder these days, if I even know what I'm saying. It's good to have friends who can help me figure it out at times.

I love the in between consciousness and sleep. The piece is a tad haunting and I love it! 💎

Thank you so much for reading, and for your kind words.

Good words Bella, that happens to all of us sometimes.

Thank you dear Andy, your comments are always appreciated. I find little slips of consciousness are a tad bit more frequent these days, but that's OK. I find this wonderful site keeps me thinking and sharing with wonderful friends, and that is a treasure.

This could be an out-of-body experience, maybe a bit of flatlining.
I do like the out-of-the-box, mind you.

Thank you my friend for your intuitive comment. The funny thing is, the older I get the more I wonder about where I've been, especially when I'm awake. lol
            Thank you for the fav.

This to me is an ideal haiku, although maybe not by oriental standard, it poses an unanswerable question. Although we do know a great deal about the physiology of sleep. We know so little about sleep and what happens during that state. So few words for so many thoughts.

Thank you dear friend for reading and commenting. You are so right! A couple of years ago I read a wonderful book "Why We Sleep" and discovered such amazing things about what we think is the simple act of sleeping, it's anything but simple.

One of the best senryu I have ever read dear Bella, I suspect you went to a million beautiful places and you saw those you love. How else could you have come back whole! Stunning, I'm randomly reading your stuff and I always go to the titles and I'm never disappointed so glad I didn't miss this one of my favourite forms of poetry and this is superb. 💖

Dearest Teddy, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It was you after all, who introduced me to senryu, and encouraged me when I tried. Back then I was the newbie, and you were always so kind and welcoming. I am forever in your debt my friend, you have no idea what being here, and meeting you has meant to me. God bless!
