You highlight the case of many a victim of controlled behaviour when over-run by those who think they know best for everyone. Much to ponder in this four liner our Nev.
Too bloody true on both a macro and a micro level. Controlled by the State, controlled by the necessity to gain enough wherewithal to eat and provide shelter, controlled by the arbitrary directions of a political party in power…..got me going this morning, Nev.

semblance of mercy
just
go easy on the children
give them, ALL
of them
a grace period, experience
of existence
where pain's tearstains
and hunger's hollow eyes
doesn't make-up
their pitiful, warped view of life...
