Knowingly

Fay Slimm.

Knowingly.

Sweet with intrigue being itself,

bud-tight but becoming

unfurled one precious red rose

sent from long distance

holds telling beauty that melts

with its fragrance her

ache for his kiss so knowingly.

Impassioned, compelling, its

hopeful message unfaded

this rosy incarnadine secret

sets her desire vibrating.

I'll vote for Interflora anytime, Fay - done it for me, and my recipient.
Sweet and short, I will, with your permission, incorporate elements of your poem into my next accompanying message?

Delighted you will write inspired to a measure by my little effort Dave - cant wait to read your next offering my friend,.

        so sad,
        that nowadays, warped
        feminist 'ideals' - means
        some, individuals
see roses as a crude fallacy
        and so, this vital tool
        we clumsy, men
        had, to showcase our feelings
        has been stolen from us
and so, we're left with one less
        option
        to make our partner, heed
        the feelings we keep within
        (feeling's, that yearn
        to spell
        devotion, in words:
        'Sweet with intrigue being itself,
        bud-tight but becoming
        unfurled one precious red rose
        sent from long distance
        holds telling beauty'
        someone, is falling in love
        wholeheartedly and is desperate
        to let her know, immediately
        like, one more breath
        she takes without her knowing
        equates
        to one more second, devoid
        of the happiness
        she should be draped within
        raining, petals of joy
        from the sky above
        clouds, spelling of adoration
        and hope
        and hope!)
        simply Beautiful, dear Fay
so gentle and tender in tone
        words caressing a lover's heart
        like
        fingers, carefully brush
        petals
        careful, to not stir
        merely wanting, needing
        to once more
        touch, that treasured nature
        of the one, our veins
        welcome, with that drumming
        pulsing
in ears glowing, that red rose
        nervousness..
        lol
        (as-ever
        your decadent poetry
        never fails to bring out
        the romantic in me)

        • Fay Slimm.

Am most happy my take on what a rose depicts leads you to a caring comment like this L.B. --- -- despite somewhat warped outlooks I guess lots of females still dream of romance when sent a red rose . If my poetry inspires you to keep your romantic side alive my friend I am doubly pleased

I know that ache & know it well .. take this longing from my tongue, he sang .. red rose red, thy will be done ... x

          • Fay Slimm.

Am sure I can hear that song of longing from here mon ami and I just knew romance would ooze from your words of review - - a rose can bring forth all sorts of aches in those given to affairs of the heart - including dreamers like me an' thee................x

          • Goldfinch60

A single rose is so meaningful in love Fay, wonderful words.
