The Concert Ends Tanka.

Goldfinch60

The concert ended,

They stood and applauded us,

We sang our hearts out

To create music for all,

And all loved what we had sung.

  • Comment from author about the poem: The Community Choir of which I am Chair had their summer concert on Saturday, our first summer concert since 2019 due to Covid, it was a superb success and we had a standing ovation from the audience at the end of the concert. Wonderful. The video is one of the songs we sang.

I wonder how many are aware of the hard work, commitment and organising which are the backbone of any group of performers.

Oh but that applause. The reward.
