One Patch.
Dusk closed in
except for one gallant patch
of blue in night's thick
cloudbank that
still shone like a piece
of day which had
been left behind accidentally.

I think I caught a glimpse of it too ..
delightful and truly .................. x
Good to hear you caught the gold in a last patch of daylight and thank you for sharing your glimpse too..............x
firstly
what a stunning image, dear Fay
and your words take me back
to all those days I have witnessed
the gradual arrival of twlight
while driving long distance
or in the morning train to scotland;
there is such a lovely fluidity
to nature's artistry, but
every once in a while, a rebellious corner
of sky, lingers
and drags it all out.. so much fun
to witness
lol
such a lovely aspect of nature you've captured
with these succinct words..
beautiful!
Sincerest of thank yous for sharing your blue patch L.B. - - a shower of gold fell from the one I was watching and I had to pen a small tribute to nature's surprises.
OK so theres a tear in the seat of my trousers with me blue undies showing through.
For me the dusk light arises from ground level or sea level as shapes become less distinct whilst skyward there is light. Hence my nom de plume.
A romantic sight to linger over before one leaves deck for warmth of a cabin.
A fine nom de plume too I might add my dear friend. . Those surprise patches make daylight last longer and twilight more hungry to cover them over ..
Aww, how beautifully captured in your words, such a vivid way to describe day turning to night, I really loved this.
And a big thank you for stopping by for the read and kind review K.R,
Outstanding description of a moment, Fay.
Yes Jerry those patches last no more than a moment but oh how the light up the fast falling night-time. Glad you enjoyed the read my friend.
A fine write Fay. So says Patch too, my other imaginary dog. Please excuse me talking rubbish sometimes! lol.
Good to read your fun comment dear Orchi and give my regards to your pretend dog Patch.
He - or she - may be like Fido, and his eccentricities! lol.
It is so wonderful to see those patches of blue Fay. Wonderful words.
