The tree

Michael William Reid

Beneath the spreading leaves of this old tree

My family sat waiting for me

With open arms they welcomed me

Beneath the leaves of this old tree

The healing I felt from their hearts

Has filled my soul with light and love

I know that this is just the start

My little piece of heaven above

Some things that are lost are missed

And some things are not missed until found

Life sometimes throws you a twist

That will turn your life around

Beneath the leaves off that old tree

My family was reunited with me
