I raced among fleets of dark clouds
That crash low through towns and homes
When all at once I saw just one
A single darkened green nettle
On the path, beneath the old house
Just sitting there ready to sting.

- Comment from author about the poem: Following on from yesterdays poem I wonder if this is what Wordsworth was really going to write. LOL

Good write Gold.
I need to wander lonely as a cloud, and wander far way to sing! lol.
And the further away the better. LOL
Thanks Orchi.

It could just be the first draft, you never know when inspiration will strike, or not. Nicely told!
Very true Bella, inspiration can be so vague on occasions. Thank you.

Wordsworth Reversed is Worth Words and this is certainly worth a few words here. I see it as a humorous take on "I wandered lonely as a cloud." If so, it's well done, and I see the humor. No host of anything, just one "nettle" Well done, Andy. - Phil A.
Thank you Phil, humour is so important in our lives, if only it was always there.

Dark green nettle, lonely as a cloud;
Under foot but until now unbowed -
You could pluck without fear of retribution,
Present it to your stew as contribution.
(Understood to be delicious, Andy).
Yes that stew would have an enhancement in its taste Dave.
