The sound of my life's blood
Pounding through my ears
Like the patter of the summer rain
Falling like wish filled tears
The tattoo of my heart
A comfortable thumping in my chest
Like an earthquake felt a mile away
Calling me to rest
My body reacting to an invisible touch
As the wind dances through my soul
Wrapped in a silken spiders web
Telling me I'm home
These things remind me when I choose
That the land and I are one
But mostly I just forget them all
And walk this world alone

I never knew here was so much in nature. Well, I know now, from this fine write SC.
Who'd a thought it! Must be barking mad that one.
You put into beautiful words the feeling I get each day as I take my morning walk. Being one with nature, in all that we are made of, is priceless. Thank you for this lovely verse!
Thanks Bella. I love my morning walks as well. The perfect brew to start your day.
Love when I feel so connected to nature .. it makes one feel less alone . When feeling disconnected from things we can feel so lonely
Like your writing
Especially love these lines
As the wind dances through my soul
Wrapped in a silken spiders web
Telling me I'm home
.
Thanks VB 😁
An enigma of a poem, Sax.
I rather feel it is your nature portrayed here, rather than the 'nature' out there.
A finely honed job.
Well spotted Dave
Walking with nature is such a wonderful thing to do SC.
Andy
It certainly is GF
