Yet You Leave Again

Robert Isaacs Chiwala

You came with tears flowing down your face

Sobs that turn into heart biting little cries

Compelling me to hold your hand in a raise up

As you begged me for the second chance

It was so humiliating in the public

So clear I would turn into heartless monster

Had I chose not to listen to your plea

So, I forced a smile and forgot everything

You looked very different I would see

Surely you had completely changed

Your attitude, love and everything

You seemed to be much caring and loving

Maybe the break did us good

It gave you time to reflect and see

How the envious wind blew in our world

To separate such a Siamese twins' heart apart

A year has passed even so

Still in each others arms

Comforting, comforted kind of soothing

Warmth that kept us glued together

All of sudden the reality cannot be concealed

You can no longer live-in such pretence

Happily staying with someone when your heart is somewhere

Wondering still searching hoping to find some comfort
