Though you're no longer with us, passed on to heaven above,
I've tried to paint a picture of our long and lasting love,
A picture made from words, and in the simple form of verse,
Still harbouring sweet memories, within my head I still nurse.
Those carefree happy days we spent here, and seemingly forever, Indifferent of our probems, just so pleased to be together,
Those nonchalant times of blithe spirit, we lived fully day by day,
Oblivious of the fact that these moments were just time delay's.
Eventually there came that time you had to go back again,
When I took you to the airport, as I watched you boarding the plane,
You turned round purposely,smiled at me, a kiss to me you blew,
Little did I know that it would be the last time I'd be with you.
For twenty years or so, we spoke online almost every, of our night's,
Reaffirming both our feelings, and so putting the world bang to rights,
Both of us went through deep depression, but still hopeful that by some chance,
We two would somehow get together and then continue our romance.
Somehow this didn't happen for us, and cutting to the chase,
Your life's ended now quite suddenly, and this I know seems base,
You're out of pain and suffering now, and with your final breath,
We pledged our love forever, though we were cheated by your death !
