I've worked hard in life
To get where I am in life
But have I lived life?

All true. I’ve wasted my entire life just treading water and conforming to what society deem normal. Probably would have enjoyed it more wondering around the world doing the basics to survive!
I think we're all the the same boat there, my friend. If only we'd had the foresight to what hindsight would have taught us in the end. Thank you, I truly appreciate your comments.
Good write Bella.
One said to me one day: 'Do you live to eat, or eat to live?' lol.
Or more relevant to your poem: 'Is work part of your life, or is life part of your work?' We should balance it out to be the former I think.
Where I am now is a combination of the (occasionally) competent handling of the cards I was dealt, the timing and what I managed to learn in the process.
But what if the hand I received had been different......?
No regrets.....
Thanks Bella.
You've got it absolutely right dear friend! Thank you so much for reading, I always appreciate your thoughtful comments.
That life is with you Bella and there is much more for you to live and I am sure it will be wonderful.
Andy
My word, now that really is the million dollar question .. Can I press pause & go ask a friend ................. Neville
Thank you dear Neville for your intriguing comment. I'd be careful though, if you press pause you may not be able to get back.
so short but provoked a loud message I ask myself that alot..
Thank you so much for reading and commenting! The older I get, the more I ask myself.
How many people do it.
Work hard all their life, retire, and die a couple of months later.
Work-life balance, me thinks.
You are so right my friend! Thank you for your insightful comment .
An existential question that we all need to ask ourselves. Well said Bella
Thank you so much my friend, always appreciate your insightful comments.
