Tune: Thornbury

('Thy hand, O God, has guided')

*****************

Psalm 140 v.7-8

O God the Lord, my strength you

Of my salvation true

Sure be, and you have guarded

And me through troubles led

Grant not desire of wicked

Schemes where they be misled

Lest they do boast and prosper

Against their plans do stir

Psalm 141 v.8-9

My eyes, O God, look to you

God the Lord, me renew

In you is my trust, leave me

Not destitute, but see

Snares that wicked do set to trap

So I fall in their lap

But save me, free me from their ways

And I shall give you praise

Psalm 143 v.8

Cause me to hear your mercy

And loving kindness see

For in you do I trust, show

Me your way for to know

And lead me wherein I should walk

My daily life and talk

Be guided by you, I may soul

Lift to you, make me whole

Psalm 144 v.2

You my goodness, my fortress

Safe in you I confess

You my high tower, Saviour

Who do defend me sure

My shield, and in you my t rust

Be, though I man, and dust

You rescue me from enemies

And you are Lord, each sees

Nicely penned Orchi. I'm sure I can hear a triangle in the background
