Just Like Bollywood

Saxon Crow

Memories flooding back into my mind

But like over flowing rivers they reshape the landscape of my imagination

As I look on with a romantics eye

Time tugs my heart strings with impaired visions

What once was simple and plain and real

Now lingers on as a dream come true

Like Bollywood films so flamboyant

The songs of my soul singing out stories

Of love conquers all

But then I'm reminded that scars never lie

That they're a moment of hurt stuck in time

And that sometimes it pays to not dwell in the past

Because some things in life are not meant to last

A good writing crow )) never nice to have past hurts .. they may always be there but with nicer things in our present or future , maybe we don’t have to look back ‘ so ‘ much

    A fine write SC.

Whatever the past has held for us lies somewhere in a chest we have made for it which is good to open now and again and to run our feelings through the emotions evoked therein. A chest of self knowledge which never completely fully closes.

There is much sadness in todays writing but the resilience of your writing as a whole shows your positive creative spirit shining.

Your first two lines speak volumes to me. While the scars may remain, the mind can be kind sometimes, helping to soften the blow over time, that it may become bearable. Beautifully penned!

Very good words SC, I know much about your past and know that now your life is good.
