take away

dusk arising

what do you know
can you tell me
where do you go
when they take away
that one little square
of life you thought
you stood upon
thought you
depended on....

where do you go
when the nights still
lead to dreams
that were once
a future for you
where loving arms
you'll never feel
still reachout
in a soft embrace
after all
you're comforts creature

.         take away your daydreams
.         take away the tease of joy
.         take away the yesterdays
.         take away this little boy

what do you see
when you turn away
where would you go
to get away
to a railway train
if its in steam again
take me away...
hmm hmm
take me away
on a railway train
hmm hmm

I saw a GWR prairie doing mixed work at the new Broadway (Worcs) station whilst out for a drive recently. I'm hoping to catch it again, but armed with camera, when they run steam again. Theyre based at Toddington. Were very lucky to be close to both Toddington and Bewdley (SVR) here.

What a magical train that would be, I think, a peaceful journey away from life's troubles. Beautifully penned!

Thank you Bella. Yes a train journey away for the child who remains deep within us would be a happy time indeed.
