The works of the Lord's hands they be

Verity, truth, and judgement, see

All His commandments thy are sure

The words of the Lord stand e'ermore

 

His works done in truth, uprightness

He sent redemption, we confess

Sent to us, His people, and He

Has commanded His covenant free

 

It stands for ever and ever

And loses its power never

Holy and reverend His name

To endless years He be the same

 

The fear of the Lord, and awe-filled

Reverence to Him, conflicts stilled

It so be the beginning true

Of wisdom, and too minds renew

 

A good understanding have all

They that do His commands, they call

On Him for aid, His grace assists

His praise endures e'er, ne'er desists
