I see them so often as I walk,
Walk with Nature,
Those birds so full of colour.
Their songs bringing joy to my ears
Forming a Symphony with each other.
That beauty of seeing and hearing them
Brings such joy to me,
And has done all my life.
Yet some people capture them,
Or even worse kill them,
They just do not care
That this beauty of Nature is there,
There for them.
There are birds out there
Whose beautiful colours
Are just too wonderful,
Too wonderful to put in a cage.

If enough of them chirp loud enough, they will drown out my singing! lol.
Very true Orchi.
Brilliant!
(and so needed)
thank you!
So kind Mek, thank you.

There are no birds which need to be caged,
Or would be caged if they had any choice.
Feed them good food so their appetite is assuaged;
Your reward will be great as they give voice.
Not advice to you personally, Andy – You are aware of all this already.
True words Dave, I have been feeding birds for more years than I care to remember.

A beautiful poem, devoted to such an extraordinary creature. They fill my morning walks with song. They come to the feeder outside my kitchen window, and I stop to marvel at them every time I pass by. Thank you for bringing this joy to life in your words.
MY pleasure as well Bella, to see them in Nature.

Keeping a bird in a cage, is an outrage
how times do change though .. N 🙂
Very true Neville, thank you.
