There we were as kids,
Playing with our friends.
Running and jumping,
Hopping and skipping,
Walking with each other.
Throughout our young lives
All we were doing was enjoying ourselves,
As we played in innocence.
But the one thing we never realised
Was that which we were creating,
We were creating memories.

That is so spot on! What we see on the other end of a long lived life are the memories that we have 'produced' simply by being ourselves with those that we surrounded ourselves with.
Thank you crypticbard, those memories are so special in our lives.

They trully are and they are the ones that last and remain!
A fine write Gold, and fine song going back to 1950 originally I read. A proper song, no garbage!
Any preparations for Hastings yet?
If you had seen the film Blue Velvet from which this song came you would still be swooning after all this time. LOL.

I saw National Velvet with Liz Taylor in it. Any connection? lol.

Echoes from our past -
Hope all can relish.
For some all fun passed
Them by; just hellish.
Apologies Andy – I certainly enjoy good memories of much (if not all) of my childhood. Occasionally I must remind myself that others maybe didn’t. I admire the focus of your reminder though.
Thank you Dave, there may have been bad times but I can only remember the good times, I was very lucky.
Andy
We rarely think of the memories that we are creating. But as we look back each brick we put in that wall makes it larger and sets its form.
Those bricks build our wonderful lives soren, thank you.
