Between Pauses
For maybe
a moment or two
perhaps ..
Somewhere
between pauses
and his
gasping
for breath like that ..
He thought
she might well
have died
there and then
right beside him ..
But whatever
the case,
may have then
been ..
He was sure
that her
heart skipped
a beat ..
And he loved her
much more
than he had loved
her before
and regardless ..
