Conceding.
An ink-toned ebony night captures
sound and hones from stillness quiet rapture.
Emerging the sparkle of gem-stars
lends diamond brightness to penetrate dark.
And surging toward us while we lie
powerless a God-shine reimburses our eyes.
Consciously losing tracked time day's
uncertainty fades and we fall up into space.
We sip nova's love signs and as black
velvet remains holed we desire satisfaction.
When one with the cosmos doubt yields
then conceding to destiny modest recedes.

Oh such sights to behold indeed for they do things to our wellbeing, notleast reminding us that we are indeed stardust ourselves and most importantly, we belong.
With talk of energy shut downs (like we had in early 1970's) where cities turn off their night time lighting there should be much more opportunity to see the stars etc a lot clearer than at present.
Yes stars do the most wonderful things for the soul in reminding us of we all are. Thank you dear Dusk for your informative and generous comment.
magnificent in its entirety .. but my word, that fourth stanza is surely to die for .. and I would have willingly, had I got to it first ......... Neville x
Your interest in my efforts at romantic poetry is always encouraging and your generous words are much appreciated - - am more than delighted you like the fourth stanza -- I hoped its impact would please -- - .thanking you deeply.......... Fay x
Thanks Fay for the rich expression of the abandonment of self I can feel when I embrace the night sky, the complete oneness of it all.
Here in the southern hemisphere, the black velvet is almost completely shredded…….
Am really pleased you could relate to the read Dave - - we are indeed put in our place when we gaze at night's brilliant stars and I can only imagine the stunning show through the holes in your own black velvet. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on reading "Conceding"
That destiny is there for us all Fay.
Andy
Yes dear Andy we live in wonderful mystery on this beautiful planet with the stars as our destiny..
