Thirsty Times

Tune: Melcombe

('New every morning is the love')

Psalm 63 v.1-5

********

O God, you are my God, early

Will I seek you, my soul thirsty

Be for you, and I for you long

In dry, thirsty land you my song

Bring to me hope and refreshment

As streams of water to me sent

To quench my thirst, my soul revive

So shall I in you prosper, thrive

I long to see your power again

As I did see in temple then

When I went there, and your glory

It too was shown, revealed to me

Because your loving kindness be

Better than life, it is to me

So shall I praise you, and you bless

Lift my hands to you, true confess

Confess that my soul it shall be

Satisfied with your graces free

I shall be glad in you, rejoice

Praise you here with my heart and voice
