Stir up the gift of God, which be in you
Be filled with the Spirit each day anew
For God has not given unto us here
The spirit of fear, but His Spirit dear
He be the Spirit of power and love
And of a sound mind, He the holy dove
Be not ashamed therefore of the witness
Of Christ, God's Son, who comes to you to bless
But be partakers of the afflictions
Of the gospel, as faithful Christian sons (/daughters)
With the power of God to see you through
His life within you strengthens you anew
He has saved us, and called us with holy
Calling, not according to our works, see
But by His own purpose and grace it was
Ere time began given us in Jesus
But now our salvation is manifest
By our Saviour's appearing, ever blest
He has abolished death, and has brought life
And immortality to light, now rife
