Indispensable People.

Goldfinch60

In life and in work you see them,

Those people who think they are important,

So important that nothing would work,

Nothing would work without them.

But what they do not realise is

That the graveyards are full,

Full of indispensable people.

as we journey through life, we inevitably meet all sorts .. and I ant talking liquorice .. and like you have already indicated, not one of us is indispensable .. sadly though, not everyone realises until it is too late .. Neville

Of course, it’s Ozymandias springs to mind….
      Or Narcissistic personality?
Centre of the universe? Do be kind -
      Oblivion is for eternity.

      • Goldfinch60

Narcissists want to be so controlling, I knew one who was like this to his partner, he has now been thrown out after many years and she is so much better in her lfe.

This poem has such a powerful message. There is no person, no job, that is not important, from the person who cleans the bathrooms at Walmart to the mechanic that works on my car. And those who think that they are above only mock themselves. Thank You!

        • Goldfinch60

True words Bella, all are important in life.
