When You Fear

screaming goat.

When you fear those who

don't love you right

And fear losing them

and are afraid of that fear

It's too overwhelming

when they add a to-do list on it

You're afraid of telling them so,

so you build a wall over the years

and are terrified of letting it down

It's building up too much

It spills over in tiny tears

you say you're fine over

Everything is terrifying

Letting them know

and letting them close

I can't tell anyone anything

They'd back me into a corner

asking me why

I can't see why I'm like this

with all I hold dear

All this happens

whenever you fear.
