Autumn's ceremony
There danced imaginary, invisible houris, fairies
As brides under a saffron maple tree
Dressed in prism-hued layers
of chiffon in ethereal shimmers
and delicate silken gossamers
They having their weeny wedding in the fall
And fairy folk bustled about all round
as flimsy and flighty as they could be
while saffron leaves fell upon the brides
in ceremonial nuptial
An autumn's ritual
and as nature's pretty confetti!
Branches denuded
Yet autumn's august
for the wilting's
ravishing!
The willowy fairies
almost drowned and veiled
in henna fallen maple leaves
Playing hide 'n'seek with browny brownie grooms
camouflaged as well in the heap...

quite possibly my favourite season so well portrayed in all of her golden finery ............................ Neville
Nice to know that poet Neville, Thanks for your shining golden comment, 🍁
Words describing beautiful colors, hues, textures, magical creatures, painting a vibrant picture of my very favorite season. Thank you, thank you, thank you for loving it in verse!
My warmest thanks for your appreciation of nature and Poetry, i like to imagine there are invisible fairies/houris playing in the fallen leaves, coz it seems like that. Yet we do believe houris are real though.
Take care🌷
A delightful read, S.Z.K. Fall is a wonderful season of color.
It is indeed, thanks soo much for the nice feedback,
Beautiful,fall is my favorite season.❤️
Glad to know, warmest thanx for lovely comment 🌷🍁
Commendable poetry to mark the fall…when the leaves painted in golden hue, such words could imprison and justify the beauty in words…well penned dear poet…
Yeah golden to orange, thanks soo much for great comment poet!
I find this piece very cultured, colorful and oriental in bringing out the season to life. There's so much "fabric" in your writing here, gifted one. A beautiful piece indeed!
Thanks soo much for your charming heartwarming comment.
Playful and a bit haunting... it all holds together so nicely! The pictures aren't even necessary... you drew it up better than any brush or camera.
Aw thanks soo much for your super cool bright feedback, but im sure you could do an even better job . Cheers n best wishes poet!
Flattery will get you... well, yours is perfect so no I could not!
Hmm no, i just read yours which reaffirmed your better talent, you are an Englishman while I'm an easterner so English is your language, i can't match your talent obviously. 😇
No, I am an American so English is a foreign tongue to me! In all seriousness, having tried to compose a few poems in German, Spanish, and Greek back in the day, I can assert with certainty that your use of English is more carefully crafted than if you were a native speaker. I can somewhat tell it's an artifact you build rather than some utterance you jot down!
Um American is a westerner, and English is still your language , Urdu is my mother tongue and that's why i will always feel yours is better than mine.☺🍁
PS love those browny brownies!

well done
Warmest thanks for comment. God bless,
Good write Z.
Thanks so much for fine comment,
Beautiful words!
Warm thanks for the nice feedback, 🌷
This is the awakening of a glorious being. I love how many twists and turns this poem took, like one moment I'm a leaf, the next I'm a fairy, and then a bride, like what?! Spectacular. Seriously, your imagery is of superb refinement and you describe yourself with such divine finesse, it's honestly admirable. I also adore your ample diction, like I had no idea what "houris" or "nuptial" was prior to reading this, but you've enlightened me. Thanks for such a marvel!
Yeah its like such a medley with religious, nature, and fairytale characters and terms. Thanks soo much for the fine feedback,!
You've beautifully described the intricacies of a season and its natural beauty🥰
beautiful imagery!

Thanks for the feedback,
The imagery is spectacular. The use of alliteration is awesome!
