You Make Me Feel So Bad

Bella Shepard

( Sung to the tune of You Make Me Feel So  Young)

You make me feel so bad

You make me feel so hurt and sad

And every time I see your face

I remember why I'm so very miserable

The moment that you speak

I want to go play hide not seek

I want to climb the highest hill

And scream in voice so shrill

You and I, stood tall on that mountain of love

But these days, I’ve gotta tell ya

I’m thinkin a lot about a great big shove

You make me feel so bad

You make me feel that I’ve really been had

I’m going mad, and what more could you possibly add?

And when I breathe my very last

I’m sure that I am going to feel so glad

‘Cause you make me feel so bad

  • Comment from author about the poem: I love parodies, so I thought I\\\'d take one of my favorite oldies, You Make Me Feel So Young, and turn it upside down. So here it is for better or worse. It was just one of those days.

Aww, boo hoo, why I make you feel so bad? I never knew I was so ugly. Well, every time I went to look in a mirror, it cracked. I never saw me self! heehee. Hope you recover from that bad hair day.
English people so eccentric sometimes. lol.

    • Bella Shepard

I'll get over the bad hair day, but that cracked mirror I don't know about. Thank you my friend for your lighthearted comment, if we don't have the humor we are a very dull lot.

      • orchidee

That'll be 'humour' for us in UK. USA lost the 'u' on the keyboard for some words? lol.

        • Bella Shepard

That's not all we lost my friend! I always enjoy that chuckle you give me.

I really like this. It gives testament to how much bonds can start becoming toxic and withering, especially those conceived of love.

          • Bella Shepard

How very true my friend, thank you for your comment.

            • darknessandlight

              You're welcome

You could sort of do this in a nice way to end relationships, sort of tongue in cheek to get rid of the blow coming your way.

              • Bella Shepard

Thank you my friend, I think you might have something there, as long as it's not too subtle a hint.

If love is not truly there the feelings can become so sad Bella.

Thank you dear Andy for your comment. When love is truly there we weather all the storms.

                  Too good.

Thank you my friend for your comment. I guess the hyperbole kind of got away from me.

Parody! This is awesome, I can even hear old blue eyes' voice singing to your words! These forget-me-nots shall always be remembered.

Thank you my dear friend, so glad you enjoyed.

I have always felt that it is only those that we really love that have the power to make us feel so bad.

                      • Bella Shepard

You are right my friend, and those we truly love we are able to forgive. Thank you for your insightful comment.

Dear Neville, so great to have you back! Thank you for reading, glad it put a smile on your face. Ever since I put it out there I can't get the tune out of my head. We even sang the Rosemary Clooney version of the real song to my husband's dad at his 100th B-day party and he got up and danced to it.
