The Sad Truth

phoebestanley18

When my fears become reality

When my last tear is shed

All I could think is of to be dead

Watching myself give in

Letting my demons win

That’s how life will end

The truth is nobody cares

You lost the only ones who did

The two people who loved you so

Seeing what you did as kid

Praying it would never happen

Wrong person at the wrong time I guess

Going through sleepless nights

Times you are so tired but can’t sleep

Lying wide awake staring at the walls

Then the days you want to sleep

When you have no energy at all

Depression calls and you make the fall

Knowing your not good enough

Nobody ever showed you that you was

Nobody stayed long they all moved on

Dark circles the colors of purple and black

Stretch marks on your body cause your fat

Baggy shirts and hoodies to hide the weight

What more could the truth reveal

The fact your trauma effects you every day

Then realizing what you wanted was thrown away

When the waves crash

And the thoughts push through

I promise life was anything but true
