Late Taste.
Shall we pluck the one chance
to lay aside single
for waiting surrender in beds
of coupled extravagance
where completion sighs ready
for clandestine bliss
which sates forbidden yield ?
Shall we take flight, you and I ?
Shall we attempt the euphoria
of untried dimensions
and find pleasured elation in
late taste of rapture
that captures true satisfaction ?
Shall we make haste you and I ?

Haste is not rushing it but not dilly dallying either. Perfect timing!
Sure love comes at its perfect when least expected at times Rik - thanking you for dropping by for a tread.
But I might swoon! lol. I been cut orf for about 2 weeks. Good write Fay.
Glad you are back again and swooning dear Orchi.
Heehee thanks Fay.
Haste may get you together but time together brings so much more Fay.
Andy
Yes I agree dear Andy love is never too late to appear in our lives.
Love, like a fine wine, improves with age and the pleasure found there will surely linger long after. Make haste and enjoy for it will be all the sweeter. A beautiful write my dear friend, so touching and true.
A beautiful comparison you give on love and fine wine dear Bella - am so pleased you were touched by the read of Late Taste.
Beautifully sophisticated writing for one of life’s great pleasures
Ah - I agree with your thoughts on what is one of life's pleasures dear Dove - glad too that you dropped by for a read of my take on mature love.
Quite simply divine .. and like a late bottled vintage wine, the aftertaste can be sublime ............ x
You sum up the aftertaste of such lovely pleasure so well - merci mon ami................x
