Light and dark all in my heart

Poetic Dan

I've tried and tried but never learned no matter how far you go, you'll never really outrun your shadows.

It's been said if you can't handle my worst the you don't deserve my best, but what about the times when the worst is our best.

Although the light will never leave so be the darkness, when it feels like your holding on to every heart beat.

For all the ones I hold dear this was never my plan, to give more positive than negative always ready with a hand.

I choose to be alone to burden only my own, regrettably others get caught in the crossfire of moments that can't be undone.

The difficulty in the acknowledgement of what we believe to be true, make this hand of life more magical or tragically blue.

I can taste the fall in the air and in this poem. A time, no doubt, to reflect before the long dark night. I here you.

A sad one makes me think of all the days I'm blue... nonetheless a beautiful write and I liked the second stanza this part in particular '...what about the times when the worst is our best.'

Always remember Dan that in that darkness there will be a glimmer of light, you have found it before and it will always be there for you.
