Butterflies

Dove

The lovely butterflies are dancing in the sky

fluttering their wings they pass on by

While my heart beats softly as the winds sways

I bid them “Hello” and then happily play

How blessed I am that they cross my path

Even the flowers could not move with such  grace

Though equal in beauty , let’s do the math

The beautiful flowers just stay in one place

Though they sway in the wind and smell

So incredibly wonderful and very sweet

Only butterflies can make my heart swell

With their magical wings, oh such a treat

If only I could fly and flutter around

And drink nectar from flower to flower

If only I could sail the winds of the town

And gaze down at the world for hours

How splendid to be dancing in the sky

Would you want to be a butterfly?
