Earthly Ending

orchidee

Tune: North Coates

('O my Saviour, lifted')

2 Timothy 4 v.6-8

*********

May this testimony

Of us true sure be

That we fought the good fight

Of faith, lived in light

Having finished the course

Christ who was our source

He shall e'en the end be

When mortal lives flee

And too the faith may we

Have kept steadfastly

So promise of a crown

Granted right to own

Crown of righteousness, see

Which the Lord, so be

Has laid up for all they

That serve Him, the Way

It be given unto

Those, pray not a few

That love His appearing

His presence sharing

So our earthly life done

Salvation the Son

Does give to all people

Come each, hear His call

Awesome, that’s cool you write in a notebook.. I need to do that as ink in printers are sky High! Nice hymn also

Thanks Dove. Well, I 'pencil' my poems, rather than 'pen' them. Also, I type them up at intervals on to PC files. Do you do this? Or you go straight to the typing up part first?

Typing and I use to print them out, but haven’t done so in a few years..

Ah, I hear the bells calling to congregate. It’s been awhile.

Thanks CP. Turn them bells off - they woke me up of a Sunday morning - some say! lol.
I've known recorded bells to be played, if bell-ringers were not available.
