In our lives we make mistakes,
They happen,
But don’t carry them,
Don’t carry them around with you.
What you should do
Is put them in front of you,
Put them in front of you and use them,
Use them as stepping stones,
Stepping stones to move on,
To move on into a better life.

Good write Gold.
Erm, me singing is like a stone - a millstone round ya neck, drags ya down! lol.
Thanks Orchi.
There must be a designated booth somewhere like the cloakrooms with their valets and attendants to take these mistakes away or some railway lockers to relieve our aching backs. But truly, a converter to make them stepping stones that's an ever radder idea!
Thank you cb, these mistakes can teach us, it is called experience.

Hey Andy! Had they only taught us as kids that mistakes and disappointments are two valuable master teachers we could have learned more along the way! Life lessons rather than modular drive through tips the way it looks from a vantage point! And when job interviewers ask about experience they probably don't always have mistakes and failings as their primary targets.
Whole life is a learning experience;
Mistakes should certainly be stepping stones -
Anything other defies common sense:
Ignore and you wade in dangerous zones.
Well written, Andy.
Good advice dear poet.
Thank you Jerry, most kind.

My dear friend, such wonderful words. You have summed up our human experience in the most profound and beautiful verse. I also love the video that is the perfect accompaniment to the poem. "Send in the clowns" is one of my favorites, as is Judy Collins.
Most kind Bella, very much appreciated.
