"Personification of hope" well stated. Hope the last to die. I loved your second stanza. It held so many great images and metaphors.

Hey Soren, yes, bouncing off known metaphors, at least in some quarters and slingshotting to new horizons. Thanks kindly.

We can only hope that the tomorrow which is there now, will have learned from the past which we are today. For every moment of every day we make the future. An enigmatic and thought provoking read my good poet. Definitely a fav!

        • arqios

Thanks Bella, our thoughts and dreams seem like our bridge to the future and our first steps into tomorrow. Awesome to be continuing the conversation!

'If only' - but it ain't, Rik, is it?
          Fires floods and military spending...
"Consumed in the fervent disappointment and disgust" is me!
          Well shouted.

PS: 'cryptic' is right, mate - your piece is embedded here in such a way which makes a quick copy and paste impossible - how so? Commercial secret?

Whose "hope" would not be uplifted again to look forward to new tomorrows after reading this masterful collection of metaphor - - Such a good read Rik.

            • arqios

Thanks Fay. Glad that this gave an uplifting. Kind regards. Rik.

Hopefully one day we will all be together in complete unity Rik. Maybe?
