Well another year has gone,
Gone from my life,
But what a year it has been!
It was the year I met her.
I met a new lady,
And in that year we fell,
Fell so deeply in love.
My long life has always been good,
Been wonderful even,
With my wife for so many years
Until that day,
That day when dreadful dementia took her,
Took her from me after so many years,
So many years together.
I thought I would not find someone else.
But during this past year,
This past year of my life I met her,
Somebody who stole my heart,
Stole my heart once more.
So on this special day
Where I celebrate my birth
I am so thankful,
So thankful that my lover,
My lover and I will move forward,
Move forward into that time,
That time ahead of us,
Just waiting for us to enjoy,
To enjoy that time together,
Together as one.

Many happy returns of this your special day dear Andy - - am so pleased to know you are celebrating a marvelous year behind and looking forward to another wonderful time ahead.
Thank you Fay, much appreciated.

Congratulations on your happy day:
Venerable age to reach without strife.
But please remember it should be the way
To celebrate your entry into life.
This emphasis on age, which occurs at every phase of an individual's life, is something I deplore, Andy 🙂 (no joke - emoji just a sign that I'm friendly not angry).
Cheers Dave.
Age is just a number and I am so grateful to be here in my life.
