Brief

Fay Slimm.

Brief.

The gaze
of late sun falls on unsettled
memory

and lights heartache ahead.

The past
of shared sunshine refreshes
her missing

as tears slide down in regret.

The dusk
waves goodbye to destiny's
brief moment

as future's inevitable crests.

The stars
tho', like her, will remember
love's lightning

was brilliant when at its best.

    Good write Fay.
I will have to have 'brief' swoons, or I won't have time to read the poems if I'm all in a faint! lol.

    • Fay Slimm.

Swoon away briefly then Orchi -- - though I hope your faint melts for your to read other poems too.

I dunno what a brief faint is exactly! Do I revive after, say, 10 seconds? That will give me time to read others poems too. Fido helps me revive of course. lol.
