Why Not Just Call It a Day
I don’t want to push my luck and
break this fragile
run of rare good fortune we have
so very much
enjoyed, in recent times, my friend
But I seem to
recall you have betrayed me before
and since I don’t like
ultimations, I won’t let you do it again
so let’s just call it a day, okay

Yes, three good days is a honeymoon, after that it's all downhill.

The she in this double would know where she stood right enough by these straightforward lines Nev. - -one betrayal can be coped with but twice - - well it needs the chop given - - -- honestly written and with such gentle reminders..........x
Having just tested positive for covid (note the small c) I'm not entirely sure whether it was my imagination or the delirium that may have got the better of me & my pen ...... thanks tho' regardless x
