My life is so wonderful,
It has also become so strange.
For so many years
I did everything in the home.
My wife was so ill
She could not do anything,
And after she passed
I still did all in the home,
But my life has changed.
The new love in my life came along
And now we are together,
Together in our home.
All is wonderful,
But not having to do everything
Is so strange to me.
I had done all for so many years
But now my lover does things,
Does things as well.
I love her so very, very much,
But not doing all in the home
Is so very strange.

Iām not a marriage councillor my friend.
My relationships have not included
Such, which would have driven me round the bend;
Call me rum ā This will not be disputed.
Each to their own, Andy, and the very best of good wishes.
Thank you Dave.
Yes we each have our own ways of living our lives.
Andy
You done that ironing again?! heehee.
No not yet, the ironing we need to have a discussion about as neither of us like ironing. LOL

Flat things are not too bad - hankies, towels, shirts. Flat sheets OK too. Bit tricky with fitted sheets.
I have observed that having something done for you isn't a sure sign of inability or laziness but could be seen as some other stepping out of their self caring to include you in their day and daily chores, a sign of caring, esteem, dedication, attention, connection... and a slew of other gratifying concepts. Of course we do not always see things that way. But when we do, it is as you have said, 'wonderful!'
Thank yo for your kind words Rik, very much appreciated.

This is not only as it should be, it is lovely too .. Lucky you Andy š
Thank you Neville, yes I am very lucky.

Agree with Neville that love should be a shared thing and when it is then it is wonderful - - keep sharing that togetherness dear Andy and life will go on being lovely.
So kind Fay, yes mine and Mary's life will go on being lovely.

Enjoy the good life while it lasts. Live, love, and work together. Four hands are better than two but remember you don't have to do it all. Certain jobs can be hired out or even eliminated. It's time to live life to the fullest. Do what you can, but that's all.
Good poem on one of life's little changes. - Phil A.
Thank you Phil, it certainly is very unexpected for both of us and we know that it will be wonderful for us both in our life together.
Andy
