A poem a Day?

Orchi's small challenge to ya

 

A poem a day....

Keeps the doctor away?

Ohh - I mean an apple!

Or it could be

One pear, one peach, one whatever fruit

One cucumber if ya like!

 

But can you do a poem a day?

A new one each day, I mean

Short, medium, or long?

Or a Tanka or Haiku thingy?

 

I thought it was someone sneezing at first

"Hai-choo!"

Or someoen saying thank you

"Tank-oo"

(Do shut up Orchi, with corny jokes! lol).

 

I mean NEW poems

Not ones written in the past

Though we (and I) draw on those too

 

Orchi won't overload ya

Just one poem/write/ode/whatever per day

Fido likes me hymn-poems best

He howls to them and drowns out me singing

Good thing he does!

Or is it me howling, and him singing?

 

But remember that 18+ if you write 'hot'

At any suspicion of 'hot'

And ya 'forget' to mark poems 18+

It will start off Fido barking! heehee.

 

Ya can even 'like' your own poems

Who's to know?!

But only once per poem

But don't go mad on an ego trip

I mean - don't like hundreds of ya own poems

Well, ya can do if u wish!

(Not that old chestnut again, Orchi!).

 

If all else fails

Just write any old rubbish!

I might even write 50 poems about KP

You'll find them in the 'Horror' genre

(Can't see it in the list on here though)

 

You already do write rubbish sometimes, says Fido

      Thanks Gold. yes, I thought so. Written from scratch each day? Some of mine are from days ago - or centuries ago!

        this is not a fine hymn poem now, is it .. but neva mind .. we kinda like it when you think outside the box .. and just because I'm still testing positive, I am not referring to the coffin .................. Neville 🙂

          Oops, not that box yet.
          Fido is not always my conscience, but he's very strict. He says 'Wot, no hymn on a Sunday? heretical, outrageous, preposterous. I will take steps to have you excommuni-whatever it is!' Steady on now, Fido! lol.

          Think you pretty much do that, don't you? I always visit , but never get past the hymn tune....admire your musicality, but just ain't into it - sorry.
