No Matter What Time it Is
No matter what time it is
there will be music, on Clinton Street
and it shall always be
winter, here on Spencer Bridge Road ..

Thanks for a write to think on a bit deeper Nev. - - Music ignores time or place to bring warmth to wintery memories; A comforting thought in this short but telling tribute to music's perpetual power...............x
Thank you for participating Fay ............................ I only wish I could spill the beans, but that just wouldn't be the gentlemanly thing to do 🙂 x
my foggy mind can't place any context to your words, Hyung
but I can easily connect to your theme
of musically influenced states of mind
where post codes denote, more
than merely, a Time and a Place
where melodies intwine memory
within reality and in each blink
we cross decades
as we once again, relive and swim
in our much craved, ideal...
(Wonderfully tight lines Hyung
btw how's that sixth addition coming along)
No worries at all, you have done enough to warrant runners up prize Mek 🙂 tis good to have you back my friend ............ Number seven will maybe be out just before Christmas, or early in 2023 .. N
I don't get it, of course! lol Is it about some gal I should meet? Oops, you said don't ask!
of course you don't Mr. O .. you need to pull your socks up matey otherwise you are gonna get left behind .......................... 🙂
No probs with Clinton St o' course, Nev....
Spencer Bridge Road, in Northampton boasts a Gospel hall (Prof Google)... not asking, just noting....
You really do need to go to the very top of the class today you old rascal ........ I am amazed n truly 🙂
At the bridge of Spencer, if it connects to the road of same name, I wonder if the water ices over.
thanks CB .. 🙂
OK, I googled "There will always be Music on Clinton St." and came up with those lyrics
in the Leonard Cohen song "Famous Blue Raincoat". I found A Gospel group called Spencer Bridge Hall, and a bridge over the Yarra River/Melbourne called Spencer Bridge St. Judging from the song, it sounds possibly, like love, betrayal, forgiveness, acceptance. I may have it all wrong, but a very intriguing write, and the cryptic nature is just too good. Loved it!
You were very warm there Bella and I sincerely appreciate all the effort you went to, to crack the inspiration behind this little scribble .. in real time, you did enough to win the goldfish or a coconut .. that old dog DD won himself a cigar ...................... 🙂 N x
In my life there is music everywhere Neville.
Andy
You are indeed very lucky Andy.
