Tune: Erie
('What a friend we have in Jesus')
Titus 3 v.3-7
*********
We ourselves were sometimes foolish
Disobedient, selfish
Serving diverse lusts and pleasures
Sated with earthly treasures
Living in malice and envy
Hateful, and hating were, see
But after that grace to us shown
We God's salvation have known
For the kindness and love appeared
Of God, Our Saviour, He neared
To us in our state, he our Lord
He came unto us, toward
Not by our works of righteousness
Not our own efforts to bless
Not what we have done, but what He
Has done for us in mercy
For He saved us by the washing
Of new birth, He did us bring
We regenerated, renewed
By His Spirit He endued
Which he shed on us, not meanly
But poured out abundantly
All through Jesus Christ our Saviour
Share everlasting life here
This, so we being justified
By His grace, was not denied
To us, but that we should heirs be
Made, His promise does agree
Heirs according to the hope sure
Of eternal life, the door
God has opened through His Son for
Us to be saved evermore

What an excellent thought process. What if not only Saviour but friend, brother, father, and Lord. Awesome weekend to you!
