Words Of The Wise.

Goldfinch60

In this life there can be two types of people,

So many of them are wise but you do not hear,

Do not hear their wise words.

Then there are so many foolish people who many hear,

Hear all the time.

What you must realise though that when a wise man speaks

He speaks because he has something wise to say.

But when a fool speaks

He  will always speak too much,

Speaks because he must say something

Just so his voice can be heard

Even though his words are meaningless.

    And there’s Garrulous Gertie down the road;
Also Blabbermouth Bill across the way -
Loquacious Linda in full throttle mode.
Now Desperate Dave accused of foul play……

    • Goldfinch60

No foul play at all just enhancing my words Dave.

Andy - that's me there - Doggerel Dave AKA Desperate Dave

Doh! it's true, even Proverbial, in the Bible book of Proverbs.
Something like: 'A fool utters all his/her mind, but not a wise man/woman'.
I, of course, like the sound of my own voice in singing. I'm the only ones who does! lol. Someone's gotta like it. heehee.

Yes even the bible agrees with me Orchi.

(i can't help but feel these words
apply to more than those fools
on our news screens and front pages, Andy)
I recognise 'the fool' in your words
I see him lurking in mirrors, where
I try to scrub my reflection, clean
          of shower fogged, self-doubts
          and reality warping ego's, foils
          one
morning's gleaned wisdom, at a time
(Always appreciate the depths in your wisdom, dear Poet)
I read and attempt to heed!

You can obviously see where these words came from Mek, we should not read the news or listen to it.

Wisdom has to be allowed a hearing with quiet attention which sadly is rare in these noisy days. Good points made here Andy.

                Thank you Fay, so true.
