Looking Forward to Change
I never once thought
for a moment
I would ever be forced
to admit that
both life and love are
such fragile,
and transient things ..
Like flakes
in a snow globe, spilt,
scattered
and broken ..
Yet I hope now more
than ever ..
She is proper grown
and no longer
the same spoilt child
that she was
all those years ago ..
When we met
for that very first time ..

You was at the top of the list so got first pick I have much to admit and may I of out grown all the childhood memories that keep my stomach churning!
May that breeze of change take us where we need to be, keep writing on!
Thanks for sharing
Good to have you here Dan .. thank you kindly sir & I hope you & yours are all safe & well .. Neville
A child eventually grows into self-knowing and often surprises onlookers meanwhile - - time itself is so fragile and transient my friend - --
such a wise penning on coping with change..............x
Thanks Fay I just nude you'd understand 🙂
You've had a troubled love life, haven't you, Nev? I hope that, apart from providing plentiful poetic material, it hasn't damaged you irretrievably. 🙂
I have indeed DD but I really mustn't grumble & hope there's more to come 🙂
Could I meet her?! lol.
I was 'looking forward' or was it 'backward' in that the shopping precinct clock went back an hour LAST week. Hope they don't change it again. Some dunce changed it a week early. Doh!
maybe .............. but the time needs to be just write Mr. O 🙂
In our youth, time is here and now. It becomes a commodity to consume, and then move on. But time will also allow growth and reflection. And the selfishness of youth can be replaced by a greater depth of understanding. There is always hope that it may be so. Excellent analogy of flakes in a snow globe. A very thoughtful write dear friend.
You are a wise woman indeed Bella & I am so glad we stand in the same corner .. Neville
May your wishes be true Neville and she has grown into a wonderful woman.
Andy
thank you kindly Andy 🙂
