A smile
owed to time
a cry
owed to miseries
scars became family
where was healer resting ?
Chaos around
tangled insanity
entangling the simple mind
How treat miseries ?
path was long
broken the surging winds
downtrodden the vile
that surge and make everyone cry
betrothed to grief
where is happiness of destiny ?

Hi beloved Spiller! Oh, no, not a sad one 🙁
I hope this isn't too personal, however "misery" is contingent on the fact of being human.
"betrothed to grief" is such a powerful line.
Like that was such a clever way to describe it, and it can truly feel at our lowest times that we are bound to grief.
I'd like to note the title of the poem as well, "Luxury," as it kind of sets a juxtaposition to the topic at hand.
Perhaps it serves as a critique to the way that opulent living can often lead to depression.
Reminds me of the adage, "You can't buy happiness."
Wonderfully expressed dear poet.
Thanks a lot dear Rocky…so true “You can’t buy happiness”
in our pursuit to chase our ambitions we did loose many a things, many moments of this short life
I see your title and think the Luxury of time, which in my senior years seems a bittersweet thing.
For I find that I spend more time in reflection than I have at any other time of my life. I question my choices and actions, good and bad, and understand that I own them. Taken altogether, life has made me who I am, and it's OK. Thank you dear friend for sharing this soul searching poem, for we all do or will go through it. It is a fav.
Thanks dear Bella… much of the time went regretting past decisions, but then alas what was crafted wasn’t a mistake but a state of art…a blunder which created a fascinated scene, unique its own way….I totally resonate with the positive vibe you brought to “Luxury” thanks a lot dear friend
