Blow me!
It’s happening!
Happening in November!
The C word keeps on appearing.
And now I am getting emails,
Emails using the C word.
Are the Choir going to sing,
Sing at the town,
The towns C lights switch on.
Can the Choir sing C carols,
Sing them at a school.
The choir are rehearsing,
Rehearsing for their concert,
Their C concert.
Surely the C word must not be used,
Not until December surely!
Ok then I give in,
I will mention the word,
Only once though!
So hear it is:
CHRISTMAS!

CH word would also do! The excitement is still there and the wonderment now shared with the wanderment of many from such a beautiful time of year. Now it's diluted, washed down, rebranded, and divorced from something that wasn't broken to begin with. Some woke on the wrong side of the global bed.
Thank you Rik.

Or the X word - Xmas. Some only use it as they say it saves 2 seconds, rather than writing out 'Christmas'. But to say 'Merrie' is just silly, I think!
Btu the 'Church Year' can include '9 Sundays before Christmas' - usually end of October. Then 8,7,6, etc. Arrggh!
The church is a farce.

This is a cheeky one in no mistake -
The ‘C word’ here is not its common use;
O charming Cunt - no misuse can I make,
Not used by me as a term of abuse.
I never say that word!
As "Mame" sang in the musical "We need a little Christmas, right this very minute". Say it, sing it, loud and clear dear friend, for it lightens our hearts in these times of incredible woe, that incredible "C"word.
So true for many but it seems to start earlier and earlier each year Bella.

It's funny what is in a word that we can only use the first letter and everyone seems to understand. We live in a censoring society afraid of offending someone, no wonder we don't communicate. Mary C. Very clever write.
Thank you Mary C.
