Collective Communion

orchidee

Tune: O Waly Waly

('An upper room did our Lord prepare')

*********

Your people gather, Communion

To partake, open to each one

You, Lord, did institute and command

We follow that set by your hand

For at your Last Supper you did take

Simple gifts, bread and wine did make

Symbols of your body and your blood

Life given, brings a cleansing flood

And we may come, each remembers sure

You salvation it lasts e'ermore

Believing, it be our spiritual

Food and drink, invite unto all

The sharing of a meal is truly communal, and can bring us together in wonderful ways, both spiritually and emotionally. A thoughtful write dear Orchidee.
