Storms Of Clearance.

Goldfinch60

Our lives have many paths,

We walk them in many ways.

Some lead us to problems,

But to get us to where we are

Most bring us happiness,

Happiness and glory.

Sometimes a storm stops us,

Stops us from moving on,

Moving on in our lives.

But what we must realise

Is that not all storms disrupt,

Disrupt our lives.

Many storms are there

To clear the way,

Clear our path to the future.

A storm occurred as I was on my way to a solo singing recital. A tree blew down and blocked my way. I could not go.
No one turned up for the recital anyway! lol. (They wouldn't).

Such a shame Orchi. ( He says in a thankful tone.) LOL

Doh! I was optimistic, hoping hundreds would have attended.

A few storms in my life have cleared the way
Sometimes the way proved quite beneficial
Some ways though were dead ends at end of day
Tried again, was lucky; life’s a riddle.

Luck is the biggest component of all in life…… Subject of your next piece, Andy?

        • Goldfinch60

Thanks Dave. Yes luck does come into it but in my case I seem to have been a very lucky man throughout my life.

I'd drink to that - nice piece of self revelation there, Andy. What about a piece of poetry - acknowledgement and celebration?

And sometimes problems solved turn into bridges and paving to beforehand impassable and unpaved paths. And the air just after the storm is brisk and clean and clear.

            • Goldfinch60

So true Rik, we must build bridges to help ourselves and others in our lives.

Something usually turns up to clear the way forward -- thank you Andy for the reminder.

              • Goldfinch60

It certainly does Fay, thank you.

If it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger.

                    So true soren.
